Basic Charge$30.00 + tax per meter connection

This charge begins when meter is installed
and applies even if water is not used.

Silver City Access Fee$9.21 per member account

First 3000 gallons$8.26 per Thousand Gallons

3000 - 10,000 gallons$8.37 per Thousand Gallons

10,000- 65,000 gallons$9.64 per Thousand Gallons

Over 65,000 gallons$14.56 per Thousand Gallons

Gross receipts tax is added to each bill. Water rates are subject to change.

Please note: This increase was implemented by the Agreement with the Town of Silver City. Water rates and access fee increase due to Town of Silver City implementation of the same. Raises in effect providing changes can be negotiated.

Meters are read around the 23rd of each month. A $5.00 late fee is assessed to payments received after the 25th of each month. A $20.00 fee is charged for any returned checks. Collection letters are mailed to members who are 60 days past due informing them that their water service may be disconnected if their bill is not paid in a timely manner. If the water service is disconnected, a $100.00 reconnection fee is assessed along with the amount of the water bill prior to the reconnection.

If the member chooses to voluntarily terminate his membership, or if the membership is terminated due to the lack of payment, the current membership/connection fee will need to be paid to re-instate the water service.
The member is required to install a pressure reducing valve and a shut-off valve on their side of the meter can. The member is responsible for installing and maintaining the waterline from the meter can to their dwelling.
